Hypnotherapy can lead to clarity

What is Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy?

CBH is a multi-modal integration of Hypnotherapy with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy interventions. It uses imagery in Hypnosis to retrain the nervous system and has a future-focus on the resolution of complex issues. This approach has a high success rate of treating anxiety, fears and phobias, habits and addictions and can do a great deal for confidence and resilience.

We work together. To break, rewire, and build.

Hypnotherapy uses the imagination to overcome habits, fear, phobias, and anxiety

Online therapy SESSIONS.

In practice, hypnotherapy often requires you be in a relaxed state, and enlists the capacity of your own imagination to employ a wide range of techniques from story telling, metaphor or symbolism to the use of direct suggestions for beneficial change. The combined elements of relaxation, focused attention, increased suggestibility, vivid imagery and emotional intensity that are available in Hypnosis – creates change more quickly and at deeper and broader levels than other therapies. Usually 6-8 sessions can help with facilitating change. One meta-analysis of hypnosis research studies suggests extremely high success rates - 93% success over fewer sessions than other talk-therapies.

Benefits of Hypnotherapy

WHAT TO EXPECT from Hypnotherapy.

Our sessions will contain Cognitive Behavioural exercises to support changed thoughts and behaviours, as well as Hypnotherapeutic treatments. There will also be skills training for tension release, mindfulness, and self-acceptance. Hypnotherapy is essentially a simple, down-to-earth, and common sense therapy. For example, by relaxing, thinking positively, and picturing your goals, hypnosis can help you to progressively improve your habitual feelings and behaviour. We would work together to help you become more accepting both of yourself and others, promote personal development, and unlock inner potential.

WHAT TO NOT EXPECT.

Hypnosis is definitely not a state of sleep or mind control. You cannot be made to do anything against your will. On the contrary, you must want to accept suggested ideas and actively imagine responding to experience their positive effects. Television and comedy stage hypnosis has very little to do with clinical Hypnotherapy and has been shown to foster misconceptions which can prevent people from benefiting from treatment. Hypnotherapy is not magic, and I do not work with Ericksonian or NLP models. There is no woo-woo here but strategic goal-setting and evidence-based results backed by science.

KIND WORDS.

Jen worked with me for 5 sessions focusing mainly on anxiety and panic attacks. My time with Jen has been life changing. I spent years trying to control my anxiety by intellectualizing my emotions which was ineffective. Since starting to work with Jen, I have not had a panic attack and when anxiety rears its head I can acknowledge it, welcome it to the party, in a way, and let it float on by. My results were beyond what I was expecting. Jen is kind and straightforward. She met me where I was at with all my doubts and baggage and left me feeling empowered.  I would recommend Jen to anyone and will likely be returning for more sessions in the future. ”
